Lip Colour of the week!
Apple cider is a pink toned lip colour which makes it ideal for every day wear. It's the perfect light spring pink for Spring Day!!!! In my personal opinion the lighter shades tend to last longer on me. In saying this all LipSense colours are smudge-proof, water-proof and last 4 or more hours. When applied correctly this colour can last all day with just the gloss needing to be reapplied before you eat or if they feel dry.
Some of the skin tones Apple Cider work best with are warm/yellow skin tones as it can be for some a pink/coral like colour. Redheads and women with lighter skin also love it.
For some it is almost a Barbie pink, for others it's truly a neutral colour. For others it will appear darker or lighter.
What can you Layer with Apple Cider
It's more neutral and so Apple Cider is a great option if you want to layer the colour and gloss to darken or change the look. So even if you get a colour that isn't quite what you want, you can still love the colour and find a combination you will love.
- Layer Apple Cider with colours like Bombshell or Beige Champagne
- Layer with Bombshell and Bougainvillea Gloss
- 1 coat of Fly Girl and 2 coats of Apple Cider for a little more colour
- 2 coats Apple Cider 1 coat Bombshell and Rose Gloss.
Gloss or Matte?
Apple Cider is a matte colour. It looks very chic with Matte Gloss and beautiful with Glossy Gloss.
How to Apply LipSense
Always shake the tube before you apply it to your lips. First apply a light coat and let it dry. Then a second and then a third coat. DO NOT rub your lips together, leave your mouth slightly open and let each layer dry. Once all three layers are applied and let dry, apply the gloss and then you can press your lis together and it will not be sticky!
Warning: You may feel a little tingling when you apply your LipSense. This is because of the cosmetic grade alcohol that is in it to keep it bacteria free. However once your lips are repaired from all the waxy products you have used in the past, this won't be an issue.
The more dry and or damaged your lips are the more you will notice the tingling . The goos news is it never lasts long and it lessens the more you use the products. After you apply your Gloss your lips will be hydrated and on their way to getting healthy. It will be one of your favourite beauty products and you can even war the gloss over night to speed up the healing process and a bonus you will wake up with soft smooth lips.
